Meet Your Yoga Instructor

Jennifer Davey

 

 Founder of Lotus Revival Yoga 

Canadian Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor

 

Jennifer Davey is the founder of Lotus Revival Yoga and a Canadian Yoga Alliance (CYA) Certified Instructor. Jennifer has additional certification in Yin, Restorative, Prenatal, and Family Yoga. She also has additional certification in Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness Coaching, and is an Ayurvedic Nutritionist. Through the practice of yoga both on and off the mat, Jennifer works with students to achieve their desired balanced lifestyle. Jennifer focuses on making yoga accessible for everyone; all ages, all flexibilities, and beginners welcome.

 Jennifer has 18 years of classroom teaching experience and completed two Masters Degrees with the most recent in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Jennifer's thesis was titled Decolonising Patriarchal Education; Empowering Female Linguistic Space. Jennifer has extensive training and experience teaching students with additional physical and cognitive needs, and teaching through a trauma informed lens. Jennifer applies this to her yoga practices providing participants with a calm environment, variations for each pose based on individual need, and a safe space to learn, grow, and have fun!

 

Jennifer is an avid runner having finished the Sydney Marathon and the Vancouver Marathon, and a frequent hiker successfully summiting Mt Terry Fox and Mt Robson. Jennifer has lived in Ontario, British Columbia, and Brisbane, Australia and now lives in Saskatchewan with her husband Joel and their two beagles where they enjoy many daily outdoor adventures together.
